Hybrid cars have both an engine and battery, meaning they must meet the exact MOT requirements as petrol and diesel cars. We’ll inspect every vehicle component on the MOT manual test to verify whether you’re safe for the road. An MOT test certifies that you’ve met the minimum safety standard. A more comprehensive check, like a service, may flag items not covered in a MOT test.

How often do hybrid and electric cars need servicing?
For electric vehicles, manufacturers recommend servicing your car every 10,000 to 18,000 miles. Hybrid cars must be serviced every 12 months or every 10,000-12,000 miles, whichever happens first. Always refer to your owner’s manual for the vehicle’s relevant service interval.
Some EV manufacturers, like BMW, use condition-based maintenance, where the car informs you when a service is due. Whatever make and model you have, our technicians will follow your manufacturer’s service schedule so we don’t affect your warranty.
